Alice and Steve had their winter wedding at High Barn, Essex on 30th December 2017. The day had a real rustic feel to it, with the barn lit only by candles during the ceremony. Winter Weddings seem to be becoming increasingly popular and this year I was fortunate to have three weddings over one week this Christmas period.
We were blessed with the weather and despite it pouring down with rain the day before, the sun was out and it stayed like that all day. This made me extremely happy as we were able to get some wonderful shots outside the barn.
Bridal preparations took place at Saracens Head Hotel in Dunmow where Alice, her bridemaids and mum all got ready together. On hand were the hair and make up artists, and in the room next door was Steve and his two best men, and soon to be father-in-law.
This winter wedding at High Barn was certainly a lovely one to finish the year on. The barn was decorated beautifully with fairy lights, flowers, candles and a few up-lighters. In the corner stood a truly wonderful creation of a wedding cake created by the one and only Fifi at Fifi’s Cakery.
The bride and groom were both extremely relaxed and of course, looked absolutely beautiful.
As part of the celebrations, later on in the evening, a few of the guests and of course, the bride and groom, took some sparklers outside, away from the barn and we did some rather fun and creative images in the wintery night. This was a wonderful way to finish not only the evening but also the year!
Many congratulations to Steve and Alice, and I hope you enjoy your slideshow preview. Feel free to share with your friends and family.
